"Direct Admission to Doctoral Program for Current Senior Undergraduate Students" and "Direct Admission to Doctoral Program for Master's Students Who Have Not Completed Their Degree" applications will be accepted starting March 9, 2026, with a deadline of March 23, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Eligibility Requirements for Current Senior Undergraduate Students:
1. Current senior undergraduate students with a cumulative academic average of 80 (GPA 3.38) or above, or ranked in the top one-tenth of their class.
2. Recommended by two or more faculty members at the level of Assistant Professor or above from the student's current or related departments, graduate institutes, or degree programs, attesting to their research potential.
Eligibility Requirements for Master's Students Who Have Not Completed Their Degree:
1. Must have completed 9 credits of prescribed coursework in the department's master's program, with a cumulative academic average of A or above and ranked in the top one-third of their class.
2. Must demonstrate outstanding performance and receive signed recommendations from at least five faculty members at the level of Assistant Professor or above in the department.
Applicants must submit recommendation letters from at least two faculty members at the level of Assistant Professor or above in the department. Upon approval by at least two-thirds of the Admissions Committee members, applicants may be admitted directly to the department's doctoral program.
